Discover more from 300 Cinnamon Buns
On Sunday, we ventured out of Stockholm. It was relatively easy to get out into the wilderness. We just took our first bus trip southeast of Stockholm to Hellasgården. It was a quick ride, and since I haven’t taken a bus since our days in San Francisco, I was impressed with our ride:
Hellasgården was like our old boy scout camp on the lake. It is a rustic park with swimming, kayaking, canoeing and paddle boards. It was an absolutely gorgeous setting:
After we found a good spot, and finished our negotiations with the Cinnamon Sticks, we enjoyed some swimming. It was cold at first, but we enjoyed it since it was a very warm day.
Afterwards, we enjoyed warming up in the sun.
We also enjoyed some canoeing.
There was a little island in the middle of the lake that the girls enjoyed exploring. Here they are awaiting pickup:
Unlike my old boy scout camp, this park has a fantastic restaurant! Colleen had a wonderful salad and Quinn got meatballs:
I, of course, had a cinnamon bun…
We followed it up with some “lunch desert”:
It was really relaxing just to enjoy the scenery.
And to top it all off, we enjoyed a rousing game of miniature golf. Turns out Mrs. Cinnamon Bun is a semi-professional mini golfer and she smoke yours truly. A good time was had by all:
Hellasgården, we will certainly be back:
To be continued…
Out in Nature
So nice to see you all looking so well and happy!
Lovely, Brian. I get to follow Colleen this way since I do not do social media! I envy your spontaneity and willingness to uproot. So not like us! Your family looks amazing and happy! I love your posts on your adventures as a family!
FYI: we have ziplines in Danville. I used to get on with the kids. I have always thought of the liability and thought it wasn't allowed in the US in public parks!!
